Qatar Insurance Company UAE (QIC UAE) has been awarded the Participating Insurer (PI) license by Dubai Health Insurance Corporation (DHIC) with effect from January 01, 2022 to service the medical insurance needs of the Lower Salary Band (LSB) segment.
As part of the broader Dubai Government initiative to ensure access to quality and affordable healthcare to all residents of the Emirate, Essential Benefit Plans (EBP) are designed specifically to address the needs of the LSB segment – individuals earning a monthly salary of Dh. 4,000/- or lower.
As per Health Insurance Law No. 11 of 2013 of the Emirate of Dubai, the EBP specifies the minimum level of health insurance coverage that all residents of the Emirate are required to have in place. Enhancements to these prescribed minimum limits are permitted – and several employers seek enhanced insurance plans, designed to suit the specific needs of their work force. In addition to the enhanced EBP plans, QIC also offers cover for individual dependents and elderly parents.
QIC considers it a privilege to support the vision of the Dubai Government and be part of the endeavour to provide access to quality healthcare. Guided, as always, by our time-honoured customer-focused commitment to quality service, QIC, as a Participating Insurer, assists insured members to gain this access swiftly and smoothly, while providing the comfort and security of insurance coverage.
